Feeling A Shift In The Air?

How is it already September??
With the first hints of a changing season here in Tennessee, my thoughts have been turning inward, reflecting on a season that has flown by like a freight train.
Over the past few months, there have been some really tough and confusing days, but also so many blessings. I know God is using it all to shape me into who He wants me to be.
I still want to take some intentional time to journal and reflect over this summer and this season God has had me in. But as I look back, I see a single thread woven through every experience of the past few months.
That thread has been a call to go deeper in my relationship with my God and King; to not just say I believe in Him or call myself a Christian, to not just read the Bible to check it off my to-do list, but to study the Bible like my life depends upon it. Because it does. To live out what God calls me to from His Word, not so that He loves me but instead from an overflow of the love He covers me with.
Here’s five questions we can take some time to ponder, journal and pray about. I feel a change coming in the air and I also wonder what this next season might look like for you too. No matter what, let's both remember that we're here for a purpose. God is not done with us.
In what ways have I grown in this season?
What might God want to teach me as I think about what I’ve gone through and experienced this past year?
What things am I thankful for from this season I’m in?
How have the things I’ve gone through shaped the way I think about my life or life in general?
What things might I need to change in my life as I move forward toward the person God is calling me to be?
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9 ESV
“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.”
- Psalm 36:5 ESV
